Traditional Prayer Services
Temple Hillel offers traditional Friday night services, Saturday morning services, twice daily minyan and holiday services.
FRIDAY SERVICES
Traditional Friday Night Service:
Friday night we offer a traditional sundown service as we welcome in the Shabbat.
Family Friday Night Ruach Service:
In addition to the traditional sundown service, we host a monthly Family oriented Friday night service in our Minyan Chapel in which we welcome the Sabbath with spirited song and prayer. Occasionally, the Friday night services are accompanied by a Shabbat Dinner. Some of the services are lead by various grades in our Religious School. Twice a year we enjoy a Shabbat dinner together in conjunction with our service.

SATURDAY SERVICES
Shabbat Morning Service:
Time: 8:45 am - 12:00pm
Saturday morning services are the focus of our week. They serve as a gathering for the community to pray, hear the chanting of the Torah, and catch up with one another over a Kiddush after services. These services are also a wonderful opportunity for Bar mitzvah preparation, as children are often invited up to participate in the leading of prayers. We share many lifecycle events on Shabbat morning, like B’Nai Mitzvah, Uf-ruf’s, baby namings, and other celebration with our temple families.
Junior Congregation:
Temple Hillel invites children ages 8-13 to services twice a month. These services are led by Leora Graber and Jonathan Zolot.  They are extremely interactive and enjoyable.  Children get to practice the prayers they have learnt in Religious School and discuss the Parshah for the week.
Tot Shabbat:
Tot Shabbat is a half hour program for children ages 2-5.  Song and role playing are used to highlight the Shabbat and holidays.  Kiddush and motzi are done at the conclusion of this service

Minyan:
Sunday Morning Minyan:
Time: Minyan meets in the chapel from 9:00 am - 9:45am
This weekly minyan features traditional davening, followed by a light breakfast. It makes a great start to your Sunday morning.
Daily Minyan:
Temple Hillel is proud of its tradition and reputation as the most reliable Conservative Minyan in Nassau County.  Twice a day, seven days a week, since September 1957 worshippers throughout the community have come to depend upon our Minyan to pray or just to sit and think.  Above our stairway, between the first floor and the lobby exit is the following quote from the scriptures, “ Blessed shall you be when you enter and blessed shall you be when you leave”.  (Deut. 28:6)  For all those who have participated over the years, they know it is true!
Morning: Monday through Friday morning at 6:45 am.
Evening: Monday through Thursday evening at 8:00 pm
