Daily Minyan:
Temple Hillel is proud of its tradition and reputation as the most reliable Conservative Minyan in Nassau County.  Twice a day, seven days a week, continuously since September 1957 worshippers throughout the community have come to depend upon our Minyan to fill their spiritual needs.
Over the years people of different backgrounds attend Minyan - those who do not remember, those that never knew and of course those whose attendance was second nature.  Many bring their grief to the Temple and find friendship, camaraderie, compassion and understanding from people who have travelled the same rocky road.  The minyan seeks to be responsive to attendee’s needs.  There are those who are buried deeply in their grief and close their minds, and those who come seeking solace during their bereavement and find it in prayer or just sitting and thinking.  At first small inroads are fashioned by the “regulars” and as time passes and the pain eases, the warmth of human interaction, helped by warmed bagels and tuna fish at daily breakfast, softens the daily pain of remembering.  As the period of mourning comes to an end, regulars continue coming and help provide the solace and comfort the new mourners need so much.  The minyannaires realize how much it has helped to have someone to talk to at difficult times, so those who can continue to attend.
Get well prayers, memorial prayers and baby naming are of course performed when the Torah is read on Mondays and Thursdays.
Above our stairway, between the first floor and the lobby exit is the following quote from the scriptures, “ Blessed shall you be when you enter and blessed shall you be when you leave”.  (Deut. 28:6)  For all those who have participated over the years, they know it is true!
Morning: Monday through Friday morning at 6:45 am.
Evening: Monday through Thursday evening at 8:00 pm
Sunday Morning Minyan:
This weekly minyan features traditional davening, followed by a light breakfast. It makes a great start to your Sunday morning.
Time: Minyan meets in the chapel from 9:00 am - 9:45am
