The Temple Hillel USY Group was awarded a First Prize at a recent USCJ METNY Convention. We were privileged to receive this award for both our outstanding programs and because our members are active participants in and supporters of all METNY activities.

I cannot believe another year has past. I thank EVERYONE who has been a huge part of our youth group. Our youth lounge now looks like Dave and Buster"s (The old Gillian's). We have the most and best video lounge ever!. I spent my entire budget... but I think I left a few Evie Bucks to pay for the welcome back trip to see the Mets. We have 100 tickets and will be eating Kosher dogs and Burgers @ Shea. We got the entire picnic area and we are really excited about the feedback that temple members have given us. Seth, Danny, Jason, Mickey and Nicole and myself should all be back next year, unless someone has a conflict. I am hoping MICKEY is a Rock Star and that I have won LOTTO,lol. Sam Lipke and the entire Lipke family really helped fix our games and must give a really big thanks to the LIPKE clan. There have been too many other names to mention. Actually , Echo(the dog) wrote me a list but, he ate it so... A great big thank you to all who gave a hand anyway they could is due USY had their last chance dance, I bought ALL NEW VIDEO GAMES and we had the most children ever enrolled in youth group this year. If you are a member please keep in mind that youth group will only be on Tuesday and Thursday next year. That will include USY as well. Dues will be announced when the new year's flyer goes out. I will also keep you informed as to when and how you can get your Met tickets. Again, I thank all my very supportive parents, members and youth committee. Have a GREAT SUMMER and be careful out there. I will miss you!!

ABOUT OUR YOUTH GROUP
The Temple Hillel USY is specially tailored for boys and girls in grades 8–12. Our group has close to 100 members and is one of the largest on Long Island.
Regular meetings are held at Temple Hillel. A special activity is planned for each of these meetings, sometimes among ourselves and other times in conjunction with a USY group from another Long Island synagogue (we might travel to them, or they might come to us).
To facilitate the evening activities, we have a youth lounge equipped with television, a stereo system, video games, pool table, “foosball” and air hockey.
And, in addition to our regular weekly activities, we have Saturday night dances---plus we take trips to locations of interest, excitement and educational value.
We also have a basketball team that competes in league competition!!!
Grades 3-5 Pre-Kadema Meets Thursdays 6:15p.m.-7:30p.m.
Grades 5-8 Kadima Meets Tuesday 6:15p.m.-7:30p.m.
